Rice Planted Area(1 Jun - 21 Aug) Up On Year - According to
the latest data released by Indian Agriculture department, India's summer
rice planted area from June 1-Aug. 21 was 32.46 million hectares, up from
30.36 million hectares during the year-ago period. Pakistan
removes MEP on non-basmati rice - The Pakistani government has
removed a minimum export price of $750 PMT on non-basmati rice to boost
shipments of the grain amid an increase in output.
