There has been a sudden spurt in Pusa Basmati because of reports of less crop. In sympathy basmati and sharbati prices are also up. About 300000 MT Parboiled Basmati reported to have been purchased by Saudi Buyers during the last month. At the rates $516 and $530/- for 70/30 and $470/- for Parboiled Pusa Basmati.
This is the time to buy as arrivals will now start depleting.
