The recent excess rainfall and consequent flooding in and around Mumbai has caused immense damage to human lives and property. Besides giving relevant news on the rice industry, we shall be giving you a gift eBook, that you will like, with every newsletter. You may unsubscribe from this newsletter anytime by using the link at the end of the newsletter.
You must have heard of the benefits of Basil (Tulsi) - the homegrown antibiotic, without harmful side effects. Download the eBook Magical Healing Properties of Basil to know more about it. Sharbati Paddy of 2005-06 crop has just started arriving in mandis (trading centres). There have been no significant purchases by Saudi Arabia. Lower qualities ie Pusa and Sharbati continue to be much in demand. Saudi buyers have shown interest in buying Parboiled Basmati Rice (70/30) at $610/- CNF. No major business has however been reported.
As per the market, there is hardly any difference between Pusa Basmati and Basmati rates. As Pusa post cooking is better, mix of the same with Basmati should be considered.
